The Inn is noted for its historical architecture with elegant Federal style and unique period wood-carved details. History abounds throughout the Inn (once a private home built by Abijah Miller)

The Great Outdoors
Urban guests will delight in the variety of wildlife that abounds in our area. Deer and rabbits are commonly seen in our garden. The falls (Ludlowville) Falls) provide habitat for beaver, great blue heron, mergansers, kingfishers and mallards. Fish for Rainbow trout, Atlantic salmon, Brown trout and Small mouth bass. Seasonal spectacles are provided by Canada geese flying overhead to nearby Cayuga Lake. Red tailed hawks are spotted daily, with their distinctive call. The magical twinkling of fireflies begins in June, cicadas serenade in late summer. Cardinals, goldfinch, Baltimore oriole, scarlet tanager and indigo bunting come dressed in dazzling color while others, such as the pileated woodpecker impress us with their size and percussive talents.
Spend some time during your stay enjoying the great outdoors. Relax with a book on our porch, with the sound of the falls resonating. Enjoy our perennial garden from the gazebo, or sit under the stars on a bench and be quietly entertained by the fireflies and waterfall.
In summer, follow the sounds a few steps away to the waterfall for an afternoon swim or picnic. Stand under the falls for an invigorating blast, or search for fossils along the shore.
There are many special moments yet to be discovered in our beautiful hamlet by Salmon Creek.
